Metal recycler Sims Metal Management Ltd has bought US recycler Fairless Iron & Metal for an undisclosed amount.

Fairless, located in Morrisville, Pennsylvania, operates two main facilities that include a mega-shredder, non-ferrous recovery systems and a deep water port export facility, Sims said.

It processes approximately 60,000 tons of scrap metal per month.

The purchase price consideration is not material to Sims, the company said.

The transaction will be immediately accretive to Sims's earnings, it said.
